Why this could be the best year for Australian Athletes heading to the 2022 CrossFit Games

Just over a week out from the games, our Aussie athletes have all touched down in the USA ahead of the 2022 CrossFit Games beginning in Madison, Wisconsin on 3rd August.
Four days of competition over five days against some of the fittest people in the world, we’re just lucky that some of them are from down under.
This year, we have something to prove.
Tia-Clair Toomey
- 8th year at the Games
- Chasing her 6th back to back title of 'Fittest Woman on Earth'
- Has won the last 5 titles consectively
Kara Saunders
- 10th year at the Games
- First time back to competition post baby in 2019
Ellie Turner
- 2nd year at the Games
- Moved from Deka Comp to train with Fittest Man on Earth Justin Medeiros earlier this year at CrossFit Fort Vancouver
- 24 years old - there is more to come from Ellie in the future
Jay Crouch
- 5th year at the games
- Youngest individual Aussie at the games this year - 23 years old
- Started CrossFit at 13 years of age
Ricky Garard
- 2nd year at the Games
- Biggest name coming out of Australia for 2022
- Finished serving a 4-year suspension after a positive drug test result in 2017 after originally placing 3rd at the CrossFit Games
Bayden Brown
- 4th year at the games
- Best beard coming out of Aus
- New addition to the family, Levi, born 14th July 2022
Royce Dunne – Demo Team
- 4 games appearances
- Missed out on qualifying for the 2022 CrossFit Games during the Torian Pro Semi Final by 1 position
- 1st place at the 2021 Torian Pro
